SBFire - Hotel Management System

This is our first desktop project. The objective of this system is to control the payment of short stay transaction (a type of hotel transaction where the stay duration is by hourly rate).
Some of the features of our system:
- Visual look of the hotel room reservation by user friendly interface.
- Room price markup wizard.
- Auto backup database.
- Customized report.
Additional features:
- Beverage transaction is integrated into the system.
- Laundry and other expenses.
After using Joomla to create our official site for several months, we realized that we didn’t use much of the features of Joomla. We intended to develop a simple website, so we plan to re-develop the site by ourself without using CMS.
We decide to re-launch the brand new of SIMBE.Net on 10th September this year.
Simbe Lyric

As one of SIMBE’s objectives to enter the entertainment industry, we made the first move by launching our new website - SIMBE Lyric. At there, you can find the lyric for the hot release of Chinese song and also you can hear the song, watch the mv and even download the lyric.
Currently SIMBE Lyric provide mandarin song lyric in chinese and pinyin. We will keep SIMBE Lyric up to date with the latest Chinese song lyric.
This post, we’ll give some of tips and tricks along windows registry.
The Windows Registry is a directory which stores settings and options for the operating system for Microsoft Windows 32-bit versions, 64-bit versions, and Windows Mobile. It contains information and settings for all the hardware, operating system software, most non-operating system software, users, preferences of the PC, etc. Whenever a user makes changes to Control Panel settings, file associations, system policies, or most installed software, the changes are reflected and stored in the registry. The registry also provides a window into the operation of the kernel, exposing runtime information such as performance counters and currently active hardware. This use of registry mechanism is conceptually similar to the way that Sysfs and procfs expose runtime information through the file system (traditionally viewed as a place for permanent storage), though the information made available by each of them differs tremendously.

Some of tips and trick on registry :
1. to access registry windows, just enter words “regedit” at Run command (Start -> Run)
2. we’ll use operating system windows xp as our example, maybe there are some keys and subkeys that are different. The key is the part shown as a folder at the left side of the Registry Editor. Overall it will not affect the part we change.

Simbe Event

Simbe Event (http://event.simbe.net/) is the first web project made by us for the farewell party of UIB System Information students academic year 2004. Because of the graduation ceremony is near, we initiated to arrange a farewell party specially for System Information students (2004) and we also invited our lecturers to participate on this event.
This web was intended to become a information portal for the event as well as a community website to make the System Information students (2004) still keep in touch each other. This website is in Indonesian.

We have launched our official website SIMBE.Net. The website was created by using Joomla. The reasons for using Joomla are it’ll be easy to manage and also its contents and layout. Joomla also provide us various useful components, modules and plugins. We could also use Joomla as a learning material.
