New SIMBE.Net Officially Launched

At last, we managed to develop our SIMBE.Net^BETA Official Website. In this brand new SIMBE.Net^BETA, you will have a clearer perception about our Team whether in service or our portfolio. The release of new SIMBE.Net will make our team stronger together with SIMBE Event, SIMBE Lyric, and other subs.

As the previous post wrote about our new SIMBE.Net^BETA were being under contruction, so here we go to the whole process:

This project was initially started by designing the layout from the scratch. Stone and me were kept thinking and discussing several designs over and over, and we still had to stick to our main ideas. Stone recommended the website must be simple, clean and informative while my suggestion was to make the website looking good and must have some user interactive stuff. Eventually, we came out a design like this:

… and started to design whole pages with Adobe Photoshop.

Design was done, but we were lacking of description to represent each page’s content. Honestly, we (Stone and me, still both of us) are still inadept in writing contents in English. We’ve been scratching our head and still couldn’t come out with any nice sentence. We’ve surrender to this eventually and asking help for someone who has fluent English, of course, in SIMBE Team, there are 3 persons :). Burnz and Wmateria were join in this project (Ops, usoppinokio didn’t join us, due to his house is far, far away…).

Figuring the content out wasn’t an easy task. We’re altogether get involved in thinking the best content that can represent our website. Firstly, it’s to write the “about us”. It’s really recall us a lot of memory while writing our funny history. Secondly, it’s about the “services”. Since the day we formed our team, we have been doing any kind of project we got, such as desktop, web, and other miscellaneous projects. Because of there are too many, it’s a necessary to categorized them separately, and gives each category a specific description.

Contents was done, and supposed to launch on 10th September 2008. We’ve almost done the testing on our webserver and the preparation on the day before launching. But the day when we’re ready to launch we discovered some “script” might potentially crash, so we temporarily switch back to “coming soon” page. The next 2 days (12th September 2008) we just officially brought our brand new look of SIMBE.Net^BETA back to online.

As you can see our website is being labeled a “beta” sticker, which means we are still working on it and need your comment and feedback about our website in order to improve our website.

In fact, we would like to see how far our website can go if we develop the website by ourself. If in the future we find out that CMS could be better than our current website, we will consider to migrate to CMS by preserving existing template.
